Fri, June 16, 2006. We have to say goodbye to our comfortable digs at Susan's, and to Sasha and Santa Fe. 
We've had a lovely time, woof! With a promise to return soon, we're off to Amarillo to stay in the Comfort Suites Inn for one night, before making the rest of the trek home. Santa Fe is the highest capital city in the United States, just over 7,000 feet above sea level. We take a scenic route through winding plateaus and steep inclines that lead back down to the plains of Texas.

In Amarillo, we'll take a look at old Route 66 and take in a movie: Garfield: The Tale of Two Kitties. Our trip is nearing its end but I'm sure we'll be glad to be back in our own beds soon.
